I find it a bit bothersome the wire whip is not meant to go inside the dishwasher. Nonetheless, my Kitchenaid KSM150PS appears to be a great mixer, and lo-carb diet programs be damned, I'm likely full-carb ahead. Make sure you pass the butter.
March 14 update: More than the weekend, while generating a cake, the mixer began to squeak loudly, acquiring even worse as time went on. Not a great noise. These days I referred to as the consumer satisfaction phone line and also a new mixer is on its way, no questions asked, at no price to me. I am happy there was no hassle with a substitute, but the very fact that I needed one is producing me ponder what is up with the Artisan model.
